The City Council meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm. Meeting information can be found at the City office, Coghill's General Store, and the Post Office.
Our Story
"The legislative power of the municipality shall be in the Assembly. The Assembly shall consist of six Assembly members who shall be elected at large for three-year terms from seats designated as seats A, B, C, D, E, and F. The terms of office of the Assemblymembers shall be staggered so that the terms of two of them expire each year." Charter Section 2.010 Powers; Composition; Term
"A candidate for Assembly member or Mayor shall be a qualified voter of the municipality and shall have been a resident of the municipality, or of land annexed to the municipality, for at least twelve months immediately preceding his or her nomination." Charter, Section 2.020 Qualifications
